Vehicle Live Tested By BPR&D.
Till now, no other private sector player has taken the formal and proper route for design and certification of Bullet resistant vehicles. We, first of all provided blue prints to BPR & D. Based on preliminary discussions we produced a rough prototype which was presented to BPR & D. On their invitation we presented our prototype to a large no of security agencies including SPG, NSG, and IB etc. This was done at the headquarters of BPR& D. Valuable feedback was collected from the actual users of vehicles and the protectors of VVIP’s and this was incorporated into the final design making the vehicle more user friendly.
The final prototype was handed over to the Authorities and field tests were carried out. The Cabinet secretariat has certified that the performance after armouring of major systems like clutch, brake, suspensions steering etc. are road worthy.
Subsequent to this the vehicle was live tested including simultaneous explosion of two grenades under the vehicle and the firing of 42 shots of 7.62 mm bullets using SLR. We were satisfied with the results as we drove the vehicle away from test site in Manesar to cabinet secretariat office covering about 70 kms. Hence why us is simply because we are the only ones who care enough to put the car through rigorous testing and have the courage of conviction and confidence in our design and manufacture to invite BPR&D to explode grenades below and shoot at the vehicle. They formed a team consisting of SPG / Cabinet Secretariat/ BPR & D to undertake this evaluation.
The tested vehicle is avaible at our works in Gurgaon for viewing and test driving.
